Questions: There were a few things that did not make much sense to me.

If this is a big hinderance for you, the annoyance might ruin your enjoyment. However, it is not all over the place and I was able to read over it and still enjoy the book. Spelling erros, sentences ending without a period, and words misused (must we go over there and their again). If you want more, you will be disappointed.Įditing: It's back. But the love scenes are very innocent and even the wedding night is PG13. No point in beating around the bush so to speak. The attraction is there in chapter 2 and continues throughout the book. Van Dyken gets rights to the point in this one. Please keep in mind it is all very simply done, but I still found it sweet and entertaining.

We have a villian, a small mystery (although very easily solved), an exciting chase, and a "prince charming" saving the day. Story: The plot was more meaty this time around. They are there enough for me to be happy to see them, but in the background enough that I can enjoy my new couple. Secondary Characters: Nicholas and Sara return and play a pretty signifcant role in this book. Emma's tragic situation was enough to make her sympathetic, and thankfully the author played it beautifully I was so worried it would turn her annoying. The characters brooded but at just the right amount. (sorry Robert and Belinda) Their dialogue was charming, smart, and engaging. So when I found the second book I dove right in.Ĭharacters: Sebastian and Emma have got to be my new favorite couple of the romance genre. Van Dyken's firt book The Ugly Duckling Debutante (recommended).
